Name Manager

• Fixed a bug which caused Vision to add (often incorrect) bank select messages to program changes in old files, when devices were subscribed to new Galaxy bundles providing bank selects.

OMS Setup
• There is a new warning message when you enter Test Studio mode and a serial port used by the setup document is unchecked in the OMS MIDI Setup dialog.
• OMS Setup no longer allows you to attach devices to driver devices which don't permit this (such as QuickTime) by pasting.
Name Manager
• When making patches current and having a name provider (Galaxy) send them, often the patches were not made current. This has been fixed.
• There is now a watch cursor during some time-consuming operations.
• If you chose “Edit Patch” in the name browser window, and there wasn't enough memory to launch the librarian, there was no error message and the browser would just close. If you were viewing patches by name, the librarian would edit the wrong patch.
• Deleting a subscribed bundle and not choosing a new one when asked “Where is ____” would cause incorrect patch names to appear.
Studio 4 Driver
• If your Studio 4 is connected to the Macintosh using both serial ports, with A to the modem port and B to the printer port, your studio setup document was created incorrectly and should be updated. MIDI input to the computer probably didn't fully work. This applies also to configurations with two Studio 4's networked together and connected to both Mac serial ports.
• If you have two Studio 4's networked from a single Macintosh serial port, then MIDI input to the computer from one or both of your interfaces did not work.
Studio Patches
• There were serious problems with patch start and end sequences on Power Macintoshes.
• The Studio Patches driver's warning message about studio setup document changes has been clarified.
Other
• The QuickTime driver no longer is prone to crashing when you send it program changes while playing a sequence. It is necessary, however, to send program changes well in advance of the notes which use the sound.
